The Lost Colony of Roanoke

     I am a modern day archaeologist with great news I have finally uncovered the mystery of what really happened to Roanoke, the lost colony.
     I was excavating around near the island of Roanoke when I found a piece of a Spanish boat.  It was the bow. I found it 20 feet under the sand.      I also found an old musket in the boat, next to a Spanish helmet.
     I also found D.N.A samples of Elizabeth and here child Virginia.  I found poison in the DNA.  A bottle of poison was later found in the sand, where I was excavating.  Then I discovered a manuscript, which was a letter written by one of the colonists in a bottle with a map that said, “HELP!” The map led me to a near by island, of the coast of Roanoke.  In the war between the English and the Spanish the English found a Spanish base on that island.
 I also found many D.N.A samples of the colonists on the island.  I found the word “Spanish” carved in a rock.
     Therefore, I conclude “CRO”meant, “Come Row Out”.  The Spanish brought them to a near by island and killed them.
