THE LOST  COLONY

I am a modern archaeologist with great news! I have finally uncovered the mystery of what happened to Roanoke, the lost colony. I have found different ancient artifacts. The first was smiling shaped face on a rock.  It was very deep in the sand. I believe that the colonists made that artifact because they wanted to let someone who came know they were okay.
A second artifact was women and men shoes. The beads on the shoes showed that they had belonged to the colonists. They were deep in the sea and I had thought to look there. They had probably lost their shoes while they sailed out to sea.
The third artifact I had discovered was a canister of water with the letter E on it to show the colonists had gone out to sea. I had found it in a drawer of Elizabeth Dare’s in her cabin, which was excavated from deep in the sand and mud.
The fourth and final artifact was a left behind log boat. This showed the colonists were alive and healthy. I found it under a large rock that was deep in the sand.
My conclusion is that the colonists sailed to find a better life to live. That was what they had wanted.
