The Triceratops
        There are many dinosaur facts in the book The Enormous Egg that tell about the triceratops' diet, weight, growth and physical traits.  Triceratopses have rough, bumpy and scaly skin.  They have warm, slimy and loose skin.  A full-grown triceratops will be about 20 feet long.  When a triceratops is a baby it may be about 1.75 inches.  A triceratops eats leaves, pebbles, grass, lettuce, lily pads, alfalfa and gladioli.  They have gizzards so they can eat pebbles.
        A full grown triceratops weighs 10 tons.  When a baby triceratops is born it may weigh about 4 and a quarter pound.  A triceratops can be fierce and harmful when it is bothered, but they are mostly harmless all of the time.  A dinosaur egg may weigh 3 pounds and one quarter.  A dinosaur egg is leathery and oval shaped, long and big.  It takes 5 to 6 weeks to hatch.  It takes longer for a dinosaur egg to hatch then a hen's egg to hatch.  A dinosaur egg looks like a mush melon.  A dinosaur egg is as big as a hen.  Dinosaurs are found in the Gobi Desert in the outer Mongolian.
           A triceratops has 3 knobs on his head , and a collar on his neck.  A triceratops is cold blooded.  It is green and has spikes on his back.  The word "dinosaur" means terrible lizard.  A triceratops has a short neck and a thick tail when it is a baby .  Dinosaurs died out 6 million years ago.  Dinosaurs lay eggs like a hen.  A dinosaur will live up to 150 years old.  A dinosaur is like a hen because they both have no teeth and they are both scaly.  The eat 8 sacks of alfalfa and 200 pounds of grain .  They eat it in half an hour.  Dinosaurs are reptiles.  Triceratops do not like loud noises.  It takes 50 years till it is full grown.  After 8 days a triceratops will weigh 108 pounds.
