Triceratops

    There are many facts about the triceratops dinosaur, which include;  its appearance, diet, how strong it is,  its physical characteristics, the egg and other details.  First of all, triceratopses are cold-blooded animals, they have no way of heating themselves.  They aren't poisonous at all, but they are very dangerous.  They are a stubborn type and mind their own business until something tries to push them around.  Their ears are sensitive toward loud noises.
   They have a unique appearance.  They have these big horns on their head and don't have any fur or wool.  Triceratopses have long tails, short necks and very big heads.
    Triceratopses are also very large, but when they are first hatched they are small and skinny.  They weigh over 10 tons when full grown.  Triceratopses get to be 20 feet long, they can grow very fast.  They grow up to 6 feet long in 5 years!
    They get so big because of its diet.  They are a plant eating type.  They eat leaves, grass and pebbles.  Triceratops eat about 4 hundred pounds of food a day.
    It is very strong and very dangerous .For example, a tyrannosaur would think twice about fighting a triceratops .They have those armor plate to fight off other dinosaurs.
    When the mother first lays the egg it has to be turned .The egg is a foot long and weighs 3 and a half pounds. A dinosaur egg takes a lot longer to hatch than a hen's egg.
     "Dinosaur" means terrible lizard.  They have very small brains and weren't so bright.
 Dinosaurs were extinct over 60 million years ago.
