Triceratops

    The triceratops eats grass, lettuce, lilly pads, and small pebbles. The favorite food of  the triceratops is the gladioli plant. To feed a triceratops it costs $21.60 a  day. ( in 1956)
     A triceratops is a quiet kind of dinosaur, but they are stubborn. The ttriceratopses always mind their own business. They don't depend on speed but they have a lot of horsepower. Triceratopses don't like loud noises.
    A triceratops lays eggs. The egg takes about 6 weeks to hatch. It is leathery looking like a turtles egg. A triceratops when first born has a thick tail, 3 knobs sticking out of its head, lizardy looking and its head is as big as a squirrel. The egg of a triceratops is almost one and a half feet around and weighs nearly three and a half pounds. A triceratops has a bony collar around its neck. The length of is twenty feet and weighs ten tons when full grown. A mother triceratops has to sit on the egg and has to turn it. A triceratops has a gizzard. A triceratops won't be full grown for over 50  years and it can live for over one hundred years after fully grown.
  The word dinosaur means a terrible lizard. In 24 hours a dinosaur can weigh double the amount of its weight. Dinosaurs can't stand cold weather. They have been extinct for about 60 million years. Dinosaurs once lived in Wyoming.
