The Baseball

One day, my dad came home and he was really happy. I asked him why he was so happy. He put his hand in his pocket and all of a sudden he pulled out… 2 tickets to the World Series!! I had a big grin and I asked, “When are we going?” He said, “We are going tonight at 6 pm.” I grabbed the tickets and got ready. At 5:30 we left. We arrived at Shea Stadium. The Mets were playing the Yankees in the World Series. We sat on the bleachers in the Pepsi Picnic area. At 6 pm, game 7 of the World Series started. At 8:30 it was the 9th inning. Over the loud speaker the announcer said “Stepping up to the plate, Mike Piazza.” There were 2 outs and the count was 3-2. The last pitch came. CRACK!! The baseball went high into the sky. Mike Piazza’s bat broke.
I looked up and the ball was coming down straight where I was sitting! I quickly put on my glove and I stepped on the bleachers. I jumped up and caught the ball!
I thought I saw something, and with 8 stars I saw a baseball constellation in the sky. When I got home, I told everyone that the Mets beat the Yankees 1-zip and I also told them about the marvelous constellation I saw. No one believed me. Then I looked it up and it said that a baseball constellation always appears every year 5 minutes before every game starts.
The next year I looked outside and I saw the baseball up in the sky again and I went inside and watched the World Series.
