Dinosaurs
Dinosaur are very amazing reptiles. They died out 6,000,000 years ago. They are cold-blooded animals. Dinosaurs have a bluish scaly skin, like lizards.
All dinosaurs are different.  A triceratops is a type of dinosaur.  Triceratopses have short necks they have sort of a collar on their neck. They also have gizzards like a chicken. Another feature of a triceratops is his 3 horns right below  his forehead.
If you have ever seen a picture of a dinosaur you will see they are huge creatures. At birth, a triceratops can weigh about 3 pounds. Triceratops have good appetites. They eat grass, leaves, and alfalfa. They can eat about 2 pounds and can gain over 100 pounds every 2-3 weeks. A  can weigh up to 10 tons.
Dinosaurs grow faster then other animals, too. Triceratopses can grow about 6 feet in about 2 weeks. It takes them about 50 years to be a full grown dinosaur. They grow up to 20 feet.
A triceratops' behavior is just like a frustrated persons behavior. They are sometimes sluggish and often times a glutton. Something triceratops really don't like are loud noises, like horns from cars. So if you ever see a dinosaur coming your way don't honk.
Dinosaurs are amazing animals and now you know a little bit more about these  creatures.
