In Mrs. Epstein’s art class, we did a really fun project!!!  It is called repousse´, which means "to push" in French.  Mrs. Epstein showed us examples of different patterns. First, she explained to us that we had to make a rough draft before we made our actual Repousse´ Foil Patterns.  This way, we would had an idea of what we were going to make for our pattern. After that, we got to choose either silver or gold foil to make our patterns on. Later on, we had to staple our creations on to colored construction paper. Next, we had to extend our patterns on to the construction paper with a pencil.  Finally, we had to color in our patterns with pastels, craypas, oil pastels or colored pencils.

Thank you, Mrs. Epstein, for taking your time to teach us how to make Repousse´ Foil Patterns. We really liked it!!!
