Attean and Matt's relationship is different from Robinson Crusoe's and Friday's relationship in many ways. First of all Friday bowed down to the white man, Robinson Crusoe and Attean would never bow down to Matt, a white man. Another difference is that Friday and Crusoe built a canoe and Matt and Attean built fish hooks, snares, and spears for spearing fish. Another difference between them is the way Attean and Matt were friends when they were kids and Friday and Crusoe were friends as adults. These are the differences between the two pairs of relationships.
