Matt and Attean are different and alike from Crusoe and Friday in many ways.  Attean didn't think of Matt as his master.  Matt liked to read Robinson Crusoe to Attean.   The relationship of Crusoe and Friday was different.  Friday became Crusoe's slave.
    There are likenesses in both Matt and Attean and Crusoe and Friday.  Crusoe and Matt are both white and Attean and Friday are both Indians.  Also, Matt and Attean became friends by saving the other and the same thing with Crusoe and Friday.
